Losing the Coin

It has always been of interest to me the attitude that some people display about loose change. The smaller the coin the less they seem to care about it. When people see a quarter as they walk through a parking lot they will go out of their way to pick it up. This could be said of a dime also. On the opposite side of the coin is the penny; the penny is the smallest piece of coinage in our American currency. The penny is the lowest of the low. Most people walk right by the lost, lonely, insignificant piece of money. Even a nickel has more respect than the penny.

I am glad that God did not pass by you and me! He sees us as a lost treasure of value. We see a lost penny and think it is not worth the effort, not enough monetary worth for the time spent redeeming it from off the pavement. God is motivated by love for even the most simple, lowly, lonely sinner. It is His great pleasure to redeem you. No matter how insignificant we think we are, we are worth the effort to Him. We are irreplaceable to Him who rules the universe.

God bless You!
