"And this commandment have from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also." 1 John 4:21

A Hurting God of Love

I hurt every day. You see I was in two different car accidents that changed me. Aching neck and shoulders are with me twenty-four hours a day. I am not complaining, I am just stating a fact. I could go around lamenting about my hurt and my pain. What good does it do  for me? Oh, I may gain someone’s sympathy, or I may get a back rub from my beautiful wife, but does complaining help? No it does not!

I do know of someone who is in more pain and anguish than me. You see the person is a father of many, and He has come to the conclusion that many of His children have left Him in other pursuits. Listen to His hurt as it is found in Jerimiah 10:19-22 (KJV)

Woe is me for My hurt! My wound is grievous; but I said, truly this is a grief, and I must bear it. 20 My tabernacle is spoiled, and all My cords are broken: My children are gone forth of Me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth My tent any more, and to set up My curtains. 21 For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the Lord: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered. 22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.”

God aches for His children to come and fellowship with Him. His everlasting love creates Joy, but my friend to allow yourself to be Love as God is Love, one must accept the heart ache it brings with it. My desire is to bring cheer and joy back to a hurting Father. Thus I give my heart to Him. I hope this is your desire also.
